Splicer Responsibilities include terminating fiber optic cables to expand telecommunications networks into new areas or to replace existing lines, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance to resolve signal problems, locating, and repairing cable faults without causing signal failure interruptions, validates and tests end-to-end service provisioning for the fiber network and works closely with the OSP Design Engineer to troubleshoot damaged fiber or install newly designed circuits.
Must possess knowledge in all types of splicing activity, understand construction prints and splice schematics and have knowledge of fiber industry standards, accessing, reading, and interpreting fiber GIS mapping systems and design software.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year's experience in fiber optic splicing and network troubleshooting.
Vocational school training or apprenticeship is preferred.
Position reports to the Waverly office.
Must reside in or be willing to move to the MLEC Service Area preferably north of I-40.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
