DIETARY AIDE/ASST

NTYA is seeking an experienced, dynamic and talented Dietary Aide to help us continue with our tradition of helping young men to have the greatest chance of success possible.? The Dietary Aide is responsible for?preparing and cooking meals for students/residents/employees of the facility.??


Key Responsibilities include:



  • Demonstrates knowledge of proper food preparation including receiving, storing, handling, and following recipes.

  • Prepares and serves food in quantities according to menu, number of people to be served, and portion control.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and assures maintenance of modified diets as instructed.

  • Uses accepted techniques in handling, preparation and serving food to clients and employees.

  • Receives, inspects and properly stores all supplies entering Food Service Department.

  • Monitors all kitchen equipment and appliances for malfunctions and proper temperatures. Reports same to management.

  • Demonstrates proper use and storage of equipment and maintains a clean environment, including utensils, appliances, floors, equipment, etc.

  • Maintains a safe working environment by following all safety procedures, including the use of Standard Precautions, proper storage and use of chemicals, and properly securing the Food Service area. Also demonstrates knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets.

  • Completes all requested forms pertaining to Food Service area.

  • Provides positive, professional role modeling and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients at all times.

  • Participates in special events on campus as needed.


What is required to be successful in this role:??



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
